Name's Jay... The avatar pretty well speaks for itself, as does the sig line. I'm an unabashed supporter of our military, past and present. I retired in June, 2010 after working for a living for 47.5 years... 4 years as a Marine, 9 yrs as a toolmaker, 9 years as a mold-maker, 15 years as an EMT, and 10.5 years working in health care at the VA Hospital about 11 miles away. I've taught firearms classes for many many years, and truly enjoy doing so.

Tact isn't my strong suit, and I don't know everything, but I didn't get this old being completely stupid. http://www.gunandgame.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif I'm "into" old rimfire match rifles, and 1911's... and .... well if it goes bang... :)

I have many, many links to Veteran's Administration information, and would be glad to post them if it's ok. I ask first, because there's a lot links that I've provided to Veterans over the years.

I look forward to participating, and being able to contribute here and there.

Regards

Welcome to the group! As you might guess we have alot of veterans on the board. I also enjoy 1911s. I only own one, and it is not an expensive one, but I enjoy shooting it and have never had it fail. We do some postal matches, hope you are able to take part in the next one. Looking forward to seeing you in the discussions.
