Interesting. Notice he's selling 20 sets, he is in Russia, and they are plastic. Probably $120 plus $25 shipping (less 15% discount if you pay by Western Union) isn't bad.

It's closer to $40 shipping with all the fees tacked on. The problem is that US customs will not allow these in to the US. This is why Pvt Pyle has had his nighmare shipment that got seized. Add to the fact that it can take at least 5 months to get the stuff (if it slips past US customs) and it's not such a great deal after all.

And to further sum up the posts on the link..... I now have the stocks from Cutoms after a horrible wait. I got lucky and did not have to pay any additional storage since it was their fault (a good lawyer and a dumb customs guy.....) and got them all released this week.

They did give me a nice little note from Dept of the Treasury saying that the SVD was now considered an assault weapon since it did not meet the sporting purposes test criteria, and it was not readily adaptable to a legitimate sporting use. It also says that all future forms submitted for approval of importation (of parts, I never ask to bring in rifles) will not be approved. I am now trying to figure out if this actually came from Washington or if the local ATF flunkies drew it up. The letter head is from the Tech branch, but the signature on it is from the local office here..... Sounds fishy to me. Anyway, I will keep you posted on what we find out.
