I was in Hit and Run Guns today and saw that they had 2 RPK variants on the rack.
First one was a Polytech with a milled receiver and long barrel, marked 'National Match'. They were asking $2100. It was in pistol grip configuration (preban, maybe?).
The second one was a Maadi with a stamped receiver, shorter barrel, funky-looking bipod, and a butthole thumbstock (laminated). This one looks more like what I think a Russian RPK looks like. Asking price was $650.
Thought I would pass it on. I was in there looking at a CZ527V. Their number is 888-207-2220. Ask for the owner, Phil. These guys deal. I have never paid asking price with them.

I am not sure of the legality of this post on this web, but for those of us who do not know where Hit and Run Guns are located, please post their local. Thank you.

Maybe you need to educate me. What's the legality issue?
I posted this becaus I thought some of the participants might be interested. After all, this is "AK-47,net". Hit and Run is a storefront FFL that I do occaisional business with. On the web, they are known as The CZ Connection (http://pdmall.com/CZC/czpage~2.htm).
Have I erred?

i think what he is referring to is if someone is coming on here selling for a business which you aren't, you're just trying to give a heads up to everyone on the net of what you saw, if you were (even though you aren't but lets assume) the business owner then the admin at this site would ask you to contribute a monthly fee to become a 'power seller' the adds are free for normal folk just selling off some of their own things, maybe K1196A can chime in, maybe a better location would have been General Weapons Discussion ? anyhow thanks for the heads on up the rifles although the posted prices are a bit on the high side for what they have.

What Wolvie said. The location issue is that a seller must tell what state the seller resides in. We do appreciate the heads up on any find, but it would be nice to know if I could drive to the seller, my prefered way to do business. Many members on this site know that I have been known to drive over 500 miles to look at, and purchase a firearm. Many members like to make face to face purchases and will check the sale posts for the location of the seller. Some will not even look twice if they can't meet the seller to look at the firearms. That is the rule that I was talking about, in the for sale forum, the seller must post the state that the seller resides. Thank you.

in the future please don't list things like this in the sale forum. i think it preferable to keep this a place where people can have direct interaction with the seller. perhaps a better place would be the rpk forum?!?

OK, I understand now. On other forums I participate on, the For Sale category would be the appropriate place. I guess I'm suffering from 'different rules' syndrome. Thanks for the heads up.

A guy on the FAL Files has 2 Maadi's in the RPK configuration (never fired), for $475 with pictures.
Check the angle of the milled NHM where it meets the stock, if it's angle cut it's not a preban and is worth $400-$600 or so, unless you live in a shithole socialist state like me.

Is it possible to get one of those shipped to NY? If not what are the laws about that?
The guy on FAL Files sold both a week or so ago.
