I have attached a handle mount w/ 3-9x40 scope on my AR-15. I have found that it is difficult to find someone to bore sight it correctly because the scope is up high. What should I do?? How do you guys with scopes get on the mark? Thanks!

I bought a laser boresighter from cabela's. It's called the universal laser boresighter. I believe it was about $65. It has worked fine for me, just follow the directions. I sighted mine in at 25 feet with the laser, with only minor adjustments at the range. The cataloge number is 71-1491. Have fun.

I sighted my scoped AR15 at 50 yards on a white backgroung target with a 1/2 black paster.

Try this method. I can't think of who told me how to do it but it works. My scope and kobra are 3" above the bore. Based on a sightin of 25 yds the calculation I made was as follows:
25/100 = .25 x 1.5 inch drop at 100 yds (from the geocities website) = .375, 3" - .375 = 2.625 in low at 25 yds should be right on at 100. Damn it worked. I strung a horizontal string about 2 inches left and right of center and at most an inch high/low of center. The scope is nice Simmons, Prohunter, but I love my Kobra. Everyone at the range wanted to help with the sightin. They absolutely loved that fact that the sights were easy on / off and returned to zero.
