It never ceases to amaze me what idiots and lazy fools gun owners are. Even though this poll is meaningless and bears little on the gun control debate, only you, me and destroyer have bothered to vote in it, so far as the feedback I have gotten here indicates. We must have at least 50 regulars to this site, and perhaps as many as 100. Yet only 3 out of 50 or 100 bothered to voice their opinions.

Now do you understand why we will ultimately lose the battle over gun control, until they are effectively banned? Gun owners are good at preaching to the choir: they'll beat their chests and rave against the anti-gun forces and declare that "they'll have to pry my gun out from my cold dead fingers" and they spout off about armed revolution in response to outright gun bans.

Yet you are lucky if 1-in-50 ever bothers to contact his representative or make his opinions known to those who hold the most influence.

Fucking amazing. Damn heartbreaking, too. Good-bye guns and no thanks to those of you who are lazy and jaded to buy back your politicians and tell them what you think.

No shit man,
The old "they will never mess with my gun" mentality is alive and well.
Over the last ten years we have seen the hunters sit back and say that over and over again thinking that as long as they only mess with the so called "assault weapons" they will never want to take away mine. Well all you who think that you can just sit back and let the few of us who care to presevre our American born rights by calling, writing and trying to let people know how important these rights are to all of us should now see that the second ammendment has nothing to do with hunting and yours and mine so called right to hunt can be taken away in a flash.
If we so enjoy owning and shooting our favorite types of weapons we must get together and fight all those who want to disarm us or we might as well start rasing the Canadian flag.
I am a NRA member and I am proud of that but if that is not your cup of tea please find another group that appeals to you and let your voice be heard!
I fear that one day even this web site will be banned if we continue to sit back and say it can never happen here, it can. My Father saw first hand while fighting the Nazi's what true gun control can do to honest folks and he always reminds me what our freedom means. My Sister lives in Australia and she saw how in one day the Goverment ordered it's people to turn in their guns! And the fools did!

I vote in all polls posted here and on ar15.com. I also have written my reps in my old home state at my parents address and the ones in my new state (as of 1992).I may not post on a page that I have responded to a pool someone has broght to my attenion, but rest assured, I DO VOTE!
