How many times do I have to read, "I'll fight to the death for my guns", "they'll have to pry my gun from my cold dead fingers," and "I'll give 'em my guns, bullets first!"
Lots of big, big talk. Yet I see no action. Do you want to send a message to the freaks in the media and government or not? I know that voting for this TIME poll is meaningless, but EVERYTHING you do to overwhelm the press and pundits against gun-control is at least something active you are doing instead of just talking big.

Stop whining and do something!

Kill your television and boycott Hollywood. Paying for cable or satellite basically gives money to the big networks that are constantly screwing us. It would be one thing if you could pay only for channels you wanted to subscribe to (maybe someday). I get better info through the net anyway. Another thing, everytime you buy a pair of Nikes or anything else made in China, except AKs of course ;>, (total cost=$5 parts and labor per pair of shoes with shipping, sold here for $50-$150)you are supporting the slavery of others and I truly believe what goes around comes around. Help the lady or guy whose car has stalled at the intersection. Also, try eating organic, much better for you (no ingested pesticides, bovine growth hormone, antibiotics etc... plus you get real mineral content in your foods which you don't get with commercially grown stuff), and supports sustainable agriculture. And while you're at it recycle. Excuse me if I sound like an ecofreak, I'm not, but you've got to lead by example. I get alot more respect from people when they see a total package of responsible living. You're right Butt Plate, Americans talk about all sorts of ideals but when it comes to the bottom line talk is cheap and almost no one walks the walk. The whole gun issue is part of a larger cultural war, the majority stand for apathy, mass consumerism with no regard to cost (eg support of slavery for cheap goods), and shirking their responsibilities to themselves, family, and their fellow man. If you are a believer like I am, share the gospel with people. This is a battle for the hearts and minds of this country, and we are all soldiers in this fight. I've made all these changes (admittedly some of them recently), but I can walk with my head proud, because at least I have fought the good fight, and truly represent what I believe.
Hello Butt Plate,

Gave 'em a piece of my mind! And you know what was weird? The majority of people felt the same way I did! Amazing, but inspiring. Thanks for keeping us informed.

It's funny how these internet polls often result in progun majorities. However, whenever I listen to the hourly news break on the radio they always mention a poll favoring new gun legislation. If at all possible boycott the major news medias (NBC, ABC, CBS, and CNN) and their sponsors, they are pawns for the antigun crowd.
