Valodya, я большое спасибо за все, что Вы делаете для нас;
BTW,

-Chamberlin

Makarov,

Very nice picture of this Bizon. Here in the USA, people want to build their own 9mm ak. If its not a big trouble to you, can you take a picture of the INSIDE of the receiver of the BIZON so we can see where they place the ejector rails. Thanks again for all your nice pictures.

Regards

That is a cool looking gun. I have never seen one before.

So it shoots 9mm ?

Where does the magazine go ?

Never heard of the Bizon? Sacrilege! I jest, I jest. :p

Izhmash's Bizon page (http://www.izhmash.ru/eng/product/bizon.shtml) should provide you with all the basic information.

As for the magazine, Bizon's standard magazine is a helical "worm" magazine. It is the cylindrical object below the foregrip. I believe there is also an adapter that the operator can fit to the magazine well to allow the insertion of box-type magazines.

How reliable are these ? Comparable to an AK ?

It would be cool to have imported sporterized versions of the bizon to convert.

To Vladimir Makarov. For years I have been hoping some one would market (sell ) a semi automatic version of the Bison in America. In SEMI AUTO and without any stock it would legally be a hi capacity Pistol and could be sold as such. Nice pictures! TMG

I love the looks of this weapon. I hope to some day own one, but I think that is wishful thinking. I love Russian Weapons, They are so rugged looking and well designed.

That is a really cool weapon!! I too, would take one over an MP5 any day. It's a shame that we can't have a semi-version of it here in the US. I would definately buy one.:(

In the most recent edition of Small Arms Review, they mention that the Voluntary Trade Agreement on what small arms are importable from Russia is being revised. The ATF has approved 75 new weapons for importation into the USA. The Russians are still debating on their side whether they will agree or not.

Who knows, but maybe an ATF friendly version of the Bizon, VSS, or SVD might be coming to our shores after the AWB expires?

I'm ready to buy one if they are under $250 after the assault weapons band expires. I would want one as a pistol version.

Is that a heavy barrel, or merely a shroud of some sort -- concerning the internal photos.

Actually, the 7.62x25 version uses PPsh stick mags (not the drum).
