I want something with decent stopping power, but still good accuracy, and a stainless finish. No wood grains. (I'm picky about looks).

I was thinking a Kimber Custom Stainless but I want something a little larger than a 9mm.

Any recommendations?

Thanks for your time

How about a Kimber Custom Stainless in .45acp...or a Springfield in .45acp.

Like a 1911? Do those come in a nickle or stainless finish?

Smuffy, both Kimber & Springfield offer quality versions of the 1911 type pistol. I would recommend visiting their websites to determine if there is a specific model that might fit your needs and your budget.

Kimber (http://www.kimberamerica.com/opening.htm)

Springfield Armory (http://www.springfield-armory.com/prod-pstl.shtml)

Hope this helps!
