I've been looking into Krebs Custom Guns (http://www.krebscustom.com/) lately as well, and I'll probably end up buying one of his AK-103k rifles (with some of my own changes, hehe).

Here's a review I found:

http://headsbunker.nothingbutguns.com/html/ak103.html

Maybe the purists won't like it much, but I think that M-3A looks killer! The only concern I have about that model is the rear sight alignment getting screwed up from being mounted on the receiver cover.

I emailed him last week, and his lead time for a rifle is around 7 weeks.

Let us know if you order one!

Looks like Krebs has lowered his prices. That M3 looks really cool.

I like the looks of the KTR-03.What kind of fore-grip and reciever cover that is?The rear sight looks like a Hesse super-ak deal. What makes it a police rifle? The stock looks like a hollowed-out Vepr-stock.Any input on the fore grip?Modified FAL or H&k?

Here's mine. The first one made in 762x39. I hung out at his shop while Marc and Scott finished it up on Saturday 2/15.

The rear sight is a flip type with one large and one small aperture. It is adjustable for windage but not elevation. There is a set screw in the receiver cover release button that very firmly holds the receiver cover in place. Marc says that you shouldn't have to re-zero the rifle when the cover is removed and replaced. I haven't taken it to the range yet and probably won't until April 1 when the only outdoor range within 90 miles of here reopens.

Here is a pic of the thumb selector.

The large selector on the other side still functions and is attached to the thumb selector.

Hi Cap, did you purchase the gun from them as well or did you just have the work done?
I am curious as to what the price of the conversion alone would be since I already own a couple of K's.
Also I noticed all the markings are gone, has it been refinished?
Is the front sight adjustable for elevation?

I bought the gun from them. I didn't previously own a VEPR. The front sight post is adjustable. I think it is just a matter of figuring out how to adjust it for different distances. I'm probably just going to scope the rifle.
