Next summer in 2000, I'm going to Pakistan to own some selective fire AK's there. So the ATF can't bother me there. Sayonara to the BATF!

Comments welcomed.

Hi. Well, hope you like it over there. You'll probably stand out like a sore thumb and since you look western, will probably be targetted by the street thugs much more often because they think you might have money. Be prepared for a sudden drop in your standard of living. Your body should be able to build up some immunity to the food and water-borne diseases you'll encounter there after you've been deathly sick a few times. Invest in an electrical generator and a global cell phone, the power grid and phone system over there isn't quite up to snuff as our standards. Forget dating. Not only are you probably an infidel in their eyes, youre not one of them, and you think we're xenophobic, their culture is entirely intollerant of any sort of mingling between the genders outside of the established social morrays. Their health care system is also not as complete as ours, so if you do get sick, expect a long trip or lesser degrees of care. Be prepared for the culture shock of living in the Third World. The US won't seem quite so bad then. Bad thing is, even if you make it back to the US, you won't be able to own a firearm because you renounced your US citizenship. Look before you leap.

Have you ever thought about Switzerland? All you'd have to do is learn French *and* German.... But no decrease in "civilization". Not sure how the Swiss feel about "settlers" though.

If you're just vacationing, have a ball.As far as relocating,I couldn't advise it.Face it,there's nowhere to run,and even if there was, would you really want to,knowing then that all those who gave their lives for liberty, and who built this nation would then have died in vain because we turned tail and ran instead of fighting for what we believe in?

Destroyer, you are very right about owning firearms in Switzerland. I didn't know that you could own firearms there. Can the Swiss civilians own selective firearms there? I've heard rumors about them, but I have not confirmed that. Anyone know about this? Comments welcome.

Go to Pakistan..youīre not welcome in Switzerland after some American idiots sued us because of our WW2 history.......just kidding http://www.ak-47.net/akcgi/wink.gif

Yes, you can own Full Automatic firearms here in Switzerland, however youīll need a special license from the authorities...before january 99 there was an easy trick to get a converted full automatic gun here ( ie the disconnector has been modified to semi auto only ) I imported an M70AB2 and a PMKMS that way..and another guy I know has imported an M16A1 for less than USD 800...in like new condition! )

Since 1/1/99 thatīs not longer possible and factory semies are the only ones you can import, but at least we can get all the "bad" features....the license we need is relatively cheap ( $ 33 for 3 guns and unlimited numbers of licenses)..bad thing is license ( since 1/1/99 ) = registration = conviscation =P

But thereīre so many guns around here..I donīt think they canīt do that...some scources say thereīre 5 million guns around here, but others say up to 20 ( with 6 million Swiss citizens http://www.ak-47.net/akcgi/wink.gif

MOST ARMED, MOST FREE!!

Btw, if youīre member of our army ( and who in Switzerland isnīt http://www.ak-47.net/akcgi/smile.gif you have to KEEP your assault rifle AT HOME!!In most cases the Stgw 90 ( SIG 550 ), but some older soldiers still have the Stgw 57 ( SIG 510 )...and yes, thatīs a FULL AUTO assault rifle I talk about!

Sehr gut! I'm glad your not a "French Swiss". I don't care for the French language and I've heard the people that speak it are quite rude. I don't think France has very premissive gun laws either (had to tie this back in to the topic somehow).
