..stocks installed on your tigers.
what is involved to get the svd stock to fit the tiger?
i have three nib tigers, 1 bwest and 2 big bear imports.
i have three russian svd stocks.
the stock portion that fits into the receiver first is about 3/16" wider than the tiger stocks.also the rear upper step that fits into the receiver is about 1/8" wider on the svd
before i start removeing wood i wanted to check with you pros to find out if this is a normal procedure when fitting svd stocks to tigers.
thanks Bill:(

Precision rifle parts are very rarely drop-in. In fact if it did fit easily to the receiver I would think there would be a problem. The fit has to be very tight in there because it's only held on with 2 screws. I replaced my NDM buttstock with a Russian stock (yes they ARE very hard to find!) and all I had to do was a little filing on the wood. If you don't think your are competent enough for the job a gunsmith will have not trouble at all.
