I spent today, 7-28-99, calling gun oriented business's in my area to arrange for the distribution of the petition to put party decree sb23 on our next general ballot. (see www.vetothegovernor.org (http://www.vetothegovernor.org) for details) When i called my personal gunshop, California Police Equiptment
4151 El Cajon Blvd.
San Diego, CA 92105
(619) 280-1199
The manager, Jeremy, informed me that they "try to stay out of politics" and "keep their noses clean" and WOULD NOT BE INTERESTED IN ALLOWING US TO COLLECT SIGNATURES FROM THEIR STORE.

Well PRKunderground, You may want to inform them that considering they want to "keep their noses clean" and are "trying to stay out of politics", they may want to reconsider their line of work and start selling Louisville Sluggers.

Geeze, you don't think the name of the store has anything to do with it. These guys are probably outfitters for the local boys in blue and consequently to keep themselves from being spanked by the Komisar of Police, do whatever they can to keep the city/county and private sales to the local kops coming in. I thought about setting up a preban-postban swap for Kalifornia high-cap owners. Send me your factory high-caps and receive a fair exchange in post-ban mags. Three 10-rd Glock 22 mags for one pre-ban fifteen rounder. That sort of thing. Eh, guess I'm too lazy or just don't need that many mags, but then again, if I were a gunstore on the border with Kalifornia, I'd do it. http://www.ak-47.net/akcgi/smile.gif Hint-hint! Keep the prebans outta the hands of politicians and in the hands of law-abiding citizens!!!

You Kalifornians need to unifie, if you guys fall then we'll just have to pick up the slack. By the way, I did some thinking on where you guys can put your soon to be confiscated guns, did you ever hear of out of state storage sheds? Get a bunch of guys and rent them, don't give up your guns, fuck those commies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with you Bryant, but please, this is a general use board. Kids and newbies read what gets posted here. This isn't the face we want to show new enthusiasts and minors. Could you revise your post to reflect a less harsh choice of wording? Thanks.

I stopped going to ca. police equipment a long time ago after I got in a fight with the owner there. They sold me a shotgun, took my money and then called me 7 days later to tell me they made a mistake and their distributor was out of the gun and they couldn't find one elsewhere. I went into the store for my refund and they refused to refund me for the $14 DOJ fee. Then we got into a fight over it and he offerd to pay half; I told him no thank you you pay it all. Why should I pay $14 for nothing? I thought the customer was always right.
