Thing shot like new! Didn't realize it had that much copper in it.
Also, barrel didn't heat up like the past.Guess it was worth the treatment.

some other sort of bullet, preferably MOly D coated, and save the Barnes for zeroing and actual hunting. That Outers rig is something like $400, I think, aint it?

Dan tell me, is just for rifles or will accomodate the Hangun and Pistols as well.

This thing was only about $80 from Midsouth. Rod is about 18" long
comes with assorted plugs n bushings......I presume it could be used on a handgun....be kinda inconvient........
As to rifle practice, kid n dad will go through 500/700
rounds a year in various rifles.....mixture of Nosler/Barnes/Hornady......depends on which one the particular gun likes......then, there is pistol practice...

6 weeks, cast swc's, Bullseye powder, and never cleaned the bore even once. Good, hard alloy, and only 750 fps. Cleaned the gun only 8 times, and 2 of those times, only did so because students wanted to be shown how to do it. I go thru 800 rds of rifle ammo in a month or 2, dont bother to clean the bore more than 1-2 times for that, either. If your bore is so rough that so few rounds thru it foul it that badly, you need to have it lapped, or replaced.
