The K-31 was made up to 1956. The K-31 is not on the C&R list, so only those over 50 years old are C&R. :(
Did anybody know this fact besides myself ?
Only the K-31/55 and of these only a certain serial number range , are on the C&R list.

Any gun not actually listed on the C&R list HAS to be 50 years old to qualify. The Yugo 59/66 is on the list so it doesn't have to be 50 years old.
Take the Swedish Ljungman for example. Its not on the list but is C&R eligible if its 50 years old. The Hakim is on the list so it doesn't have to be 50 years old.

The Swiss made over half a million of these from 1933-1958 including about 150 for the Swiss Guard at the Vatican. They can't be imported as military surplus firearms unless they are C&R as per the 1984 amendment to the GCA.
I've heard rumors that more and nicer K-31's will be imported. Perhaps this is based on them being late production and having to wait until they meet the timeline for importation as C&R firearms?

DUH!:o So if it was made in 1956 it won't be untill some time in 2006 that it is C&R eligible.

I've been looking hard at these. The ones on AIM's site. Thanks for keeping tabs Blackbore. I was curious about this "Free Floating" barrel consept? Anyone care to expound on this. I guess I could do a search but I'd rather hear it from the fold.

I personally got to feel a couple of those up today at the shop. Detachable mags, straight pull bolt, and just sweet. Light trigger pull too, and a recessed muzzle crown.
Definitely made to put your eye out, and they guy at the store says they are super accurate.
Whats the going price for one in like new condition anyway? I was really taken by them personnally, but don't want to get reemed.

"and they guy at the store says they are super accurate."
The guy at the store...you mean the salesmen?
Must be like that one who told be I wouldnt notice the flash of the ported barred from the pistol he was trying to sell me.
Sold that pistol not too long after I bought ....nice bright flash aaand some of the craftmanship was so bad on the little springfield that it wouldnt even go back together right after a cleaning I had to get a smith to do some filing on it.
