I was at work talking to one of the housekeeping staff who is working towards his GED. Being the supportive type, I asked him how it was going and he told me that he had just completed the Social Studies section. I asked him what that was like, and he told me that they would look at a cartoon and then answer some questions.

The example he gave me was chilling. It was a political cartoon of two people with a lot of holes in them. The question involved 'what is the cartoon saying?' The answer was 'We need more gun control.'

Man, I just don't know anymore. I'm not giving up, don't get me wrong, but we're way past the extraordinary and are now in the realm of the truly incredible.

To further a political agenda under the mask of education? If that ain't propaganda, I don't know what is. Well the education system is full of liberals. Believe me, the higher up I go, the harder it is to express my conservative views without being looked down upon.

That GED cartoon is bad, all right. I used to believe in our educational system, figuring it was about learning to think. Not any more. Now education has too much to do with political correctness, as in not thinking at all. Just my $0.02.

Thanks for the kind words.

I suppose the important thing is to keep fighting. As a wise man once said... All that is needed for evil to win is for good to do nothing.

11Bush,
Thanks. I'm glad somebody appreciates a conservative opinion, but it seems to get me more trouble than compliments lately. http://www.ak-47.net/akcgi/smile.gif But, AIN'T ABOUT TA CHANGE!!!
