I acquired a Colt Govt. Model 45 ACP that went through the Giles 45 shop in Odessa Fla. The serial no. is 2905xx with a stamped capitol G after the serial number. The gun has a massive rib on the barrel and ajustable sights. It is an absolute tack driver and will out shoot other 45s easily if held properly. Does anyone know much about Giles and what was the original date of mfg before it went through his shop?Iwould rate the gun at 85% with a very good to excellant bore. Any idea on value?
