Hey REDSTAR.... I was thinking. (Scary thought) And I was wondering if maybe AIM and this gunboard could do something to track the business they(AIM) get from us as a group. I am not sure who would workout the details but if we called and used a password or code when we placed an order then they could track the business.

I did business with them before I was a member here but I do a hell of a lot more business with them now. If the numbers warranted it maybe AIM could throw us a bone for our business as a whole.

Yeah good idea. I would suggest everyone take the time to enter their site through the banner if you are going to order off their site, because that does track how many people open the banner while it doesn't track actual sales, it's helpful information.

Another suggestion is to tell them you are from the CR board or AK net, or gunsnetwork, when you call them. I started doing that a long time ago and they know me by my real name now and who I am on the board when I call.

I think chances are, but can't guarantee you, that if you mention you are from the board they will often pick you a winner out of the stack. I always ask for Erik or Bryan because they know me by name and they always send me winners.

Maybe bowhunt will read this and have some suggestions.

I think you may see some special specials offered by AIM for members here though, just need to give it some time. They definately know we are good for their business and they have alot of loyal customers here. They also advertise on another gun board so I'm not sure how they feel about exclusive deals. I know bowhunt and David and mick are always looking for ways to benefit the membership here with the sponsors.

Yeah it is about to happen guys. We are waiting on Erik to give us the Spalsh page from them. Erik is very excited and yes the C&R group here is a very powerful $$$ tool in that AIM and the Staff here wants to make sure everyone here and on the AK board gets some great stuff at a great price.

There's a buzz going around that Red Star will be coming out with a drilled and tapped backing plate for the extended mag release for AK's, doing away with the necessity to either drill and tap the release yourself or using those shitty pop rivets to attach the bad boy. Any truth to this?
