Bayo, I'm just like you. I'm also from Indiana. I bought me a new Bushmaster A3 almost 2 weeks ago. I haven't been able to shoot it yet because of the cold, snow, and high winds. Just wouldn't be fun.

Oh well, it'l warm up for us permanently in about 4-6 weeks.:)

I agree, I'm not real keen on shooting with fucking wind blowing in my face and safety glasses fogging up. Shooting is not a job for me, it's a hobby and a hobby is meant to be enjoyed. I have an UZI I just got not too long ago but the weather here during the day is in the 20's with 3 feet of snow, not condusive to enjoying an outdoor sport like shooting.

Kanter, I bought an UZI about a year ago. It's a lot of fun to shoot, but you can really waste a lot of ammo with it in a hurry.:D

Mine is a semi-auto pre-ban. Is yours a semi or full auto?

It's not wasted ammo - it's pure shooting satisfaction.

A gun is a device for turning money into smoke, brass, holes in stuff and FUN. A machinegun just does it faster.

Semi, it's a Norinco, but I replaced a bunch of parts with US made so I could have the regular type buttstock and pistol grips instead of the thumbhole. Getting it blasted and parked professionally this weekend, I'll send you a pic of it Sunday.

in some straw bales and plastic sheeting, and build a little place to shield you while you shoot. Take an entire hour. Could do it without the bales, actually. Could make it portable. Then add a catalytic heater, if it's REALLY cold, and you can't just go warm up in your car (left running, with the heater on.) Plastic will save your brass from the snow, too, altho anyone with any sense mostly uses cheapo milsurp ammo, and a .22 unit, so brass is no issue.
