I hope this ain't true.

I was talking with a rep from Century International Arms who was at the Shot Show. I asked him if he had seen "The Great Inventor" there, yes he had. Then he was telling me that another rep had told him that he had seen Mr. Kalashnikov at the bus stop waiting for a bus.

WTF!!

I sure hope that this isn't true. If Solingen is that pitiful to make this great man take a bus than shame on them. But, I thought that maybe he wanted to take a bus. If Mr. Kalashnikov wanted to take a bus....well, that just shows how humble he really is.

Then again, it could have been a mistaken identity.

I thought I would share this with ya'll.

Mr. Kalashnikov was treated extremely well. I saw him at a private party given by C. Reed Knight and he was brought there by a private stretch limo.

Em and I were there with Peter G. Kokalis and Mr. Kalashnikov was extremely happy to see Peter. They chatted for a bit and Peter gave him a huge piece he had written on his rifle in Small Arms Review. Mr. Kalashnikov looked in good health and was quite happy to see a number of his close American friends.

Mr. Kalashnikov created quite a stir at the show and was very well received by his fans.

Thanks 14.5 HMG, I thought it may be mistaken identity. This story really bothered me and it would bother me more if it was true.

Any word on when Mr.Kokalis article will be printed?

His article was in the last issue of Small Arms Review, believe the one on the stands now, some 13 pages. No one would print an article that long in any other magazine....but he's the editor so he can do what he wants, it looks really good.

Also at the SHOT Show keep in mind that charter buses are used to ferry people from the parking lot and hotels to the convention center.
