Finally after months and months of hopes and expectations the mold is made and buffers are being poured. The first should be available toward the end of next week and will be available in a soft, med and hard texture for now. Hard will be black and softer ones will be dark green. The new price will be $12.50 ea., $24 for 2, $34 for 3 and shipping is still included. I am offering these also in bulk quanities if interested, e-mail me for details.

Hello blackjack, I've been meaning to get one of your buffers for some time now, and for only $10 I can't go wrong. I do have a question for you, you mention you have different textures. Is there a difference in performance? Or a difference in felt recoil?
I am planning to install this in my SAR-1.

Both, the softer material absorbs more shock...less felt recoil but isn't as durable as the harder ones. There is a trade off, but even the softest of them should give you well over 5000 rds of use.

Order placed.
BTW: How do the new hard ones compare to the old style hard ones? Are they any softer/harder or are they identical in... for lack of a better term... squishiness?

Don't know yet, I should be picking the first of them up tomorrow. I can make them any hardness I want now, I'm starting with three hardnesses but probably will settle on 2. The softest is equivalent to the old blue buffers, these first "hard" ones not quite as hard as the old red buffers.

I got the first of the new buffers tonight! The black ones are close to the Red in hardness, this first batch of green buffers are a bit softer than the old blue buffers, I'll be getting some more green buffers Monday that will be a bit harder.
I'll post some new pics as soon as I can.

So far my urethane buffers have not been affected by oils and solvents. I will be conducting tests on some of the new types of urethane I'm starting to use with different oils and solvents just to know.

Blackjack, I was about to send out for one of your new buffers in medium/soft. Is the price still $10?
