I have the chance to purchase a NEW high capacity thumbhole stock polytech for $400. Has anyone seen any of these rifles lately and what is the going rate for this gun? I have not seen any in a very long time. It has VERY good fit and finish. Also what quality are these rifles in the long run?
Thanks in advance.

I have one, the barrel is a heavy grade machine gun barrel with little cooling fins like the legends. The stock looks like a chaote dragonov which is really comfortable to shoot. They have a very nice finnish and are extremely accurate for a stamped receiver. You will not find any other post ban stamped receiver AK's that look and work as nice. I have seen many Mak 90's and other variants that do not compare. The barrel should have a muzzle nut to protect the threads which can easily be removed with a dremel tool. Personally if I could get another one I would in a second. The price your paying is far below what it is worth. Deffinately buy it.

Oh yah in the long run these hold up very nice. I've got at least 20,ooo rounds through mine and I don't beleive it is broken in yet. My uncle has one and has about 35,000 rounds through it and it still functions perfectly. If you know if they might have another one let me know and I'll buy it.
