how much would you pay for a Pre-Ban Poly Tech AK with a side folder ? semi auto of course and in great shape possibly never fired with redish stock and are they still legal to buy in the US ?

Well if I was a late comer to the assault rifle scene, I'd be willing to shell out at least a grand for that rifle. Real simple way to check if it is an unfired gun. Field strip the gun. Bolt carrier should have a matching serial number to receiver. Look at end of gas piston, if it is totally clean and shiny it is unfired, if it is blackened then the gun has been fired after leaving the factory. Polytech sidefolders are great AK's. Yes, they are legal to buy sell and trade in what remains of "America". Just no more to be imported/manufactured. Consult your local ministry of information in places such as the PRK(Peoples Republic of Kalifornia), Fantasy Island(Hawaii) or other suckhole states.

I saw a couple of Poly-Tech sidefolders at a local para shop last week and they were selling for $850.00 and $900.00 used.

These are great rifles and I really enjoyed owning one a few years back. A NIB Side folder would cost over $1000.00 if you can find one. I love their cleaning kits that are well hidden in the stock.
