Got an offer yesterday from a guy looking to sell a 1909 Argentine Rifle. He said it's the full length rifle not the carbine, receiver in the white, all matching in Very Fine condition, German manufacture with only a few small dings in the wood. He said he'd bring it in if I were interested in looking it over. He's asking $250. What ya think?

Richard,I have one and consider it one of the best made Mausers ever.Long rifles have not been available for some time now.If the bore is good I would jump on it.HTH

Yep, ask him to bring it in so you can take a look at it. I've seen a couple in these parts and asking price was high $200s.
