This may sound stupid, but I tell my students the only stupid question is one that is not asked.

How does a Red Dot scope work?

Is it any thing like a lazer?

Thank you in advance.

Mike, a 'red dot' scope creates the effect of seeing a red dot in the center of the picture as you look through the scope. It does not actually project any light down range, only a red dot that you see when aiming with the scope. You can visit http://www.geocities.com/usafcaptain/reddot.htm to see & read a basic description of the effect. Hope this helps!
