Does anyone know where I can get a helmet liner? My 6 year old has finally discovered the joys of playing "army" and has been using my vintage WWII helmet liner.
I don't want to discourage him so I am letting him use it, but on the other hand I don't want him to ruin a 60+ year old liner!
I tried the usual suspects, sportsmans guide and cheaper than dirt, but have had no luck so far.
He also wants a helmet net, like he saw on "Saving Private Ryan".
Thanks,
Zou

I thought Numerichs had them. What kind of helmet needs the liner? I need 2 M1917 helmet liners (doughboy) and chin straps. If it's WWII liners I gave SalBO a link but don't know if it ever panned out

Very kool! Thanks SalBO.
Guinny_Ire,
My WWII USGI helmet is fine. I just want a cheap liner for my boy to play with so he doesn't ruin my original.

no problem Zouve. Those are 3 of my favorite WWII webgear sites. I need a WWII liner. Would your son want to trade ? LOL

Zouave, I have a helmet that I bought years ago when I was just a kid, if it is anything you are interested in let me know and I will try to dig it out. Not really sure what kind it is, i think it is a vietnam era helmet, also i have a german helmet i think.

There's a surplus store in north Raleigh that has brand new Nam era liners with helmet and chinstrap for about $20. Let me know if you want me to pick one up. Kevlar's better though!;)
