I would like to hear opinions on which company has the best options for the Mac 91 w/ milled angled receiver, w/ round hole, for replacing stock and internals. I'm looking for best fit and finish along with something that is solid. Also, would'nt a lower tang have to be added. Thanks.

You only need to add a lower tang if you are installing a stock with a separate buttstock and pistol grip. If you do this, make sure that you install a U.S. parts kit to keep your gun legal. Either the Choate or Fiberforce (ATI) dragunov svd-style stocks will fit the gun securely with only a little modification. The stocks have slightly different dimensions, but are similar in design. Stock choice is a very personal one and you should go with the style that fits you best, no matter what anybody else says.

SELECT-FIRE,
Thanks for the post. Since my earlier post, I have installed A walnut stock kit from RPB on the gun, w/ American parts of coarse. The fit and finish was very good. The quality of the internals looks to be very good also. On this particular buttstock, there is a bolt that goes through stock into back of receiver and screws into an aluminum block, holding the butt very securely. It wasn't exactly a drop in job, but installed fairly easily with the tools I had at my disposal. I'm impressed with this kit, and it takes a lot to impress me anymore, it seems.
