Hey, all.
Will the Russian PSO scope fit my Legend NM? I have the rail on the left side, so I think it would. Any other suggestions on scopes?
Tx.

Depends upon what kind of siderail you have on your NM. The PSO scope comes with a rail stop at the front of the mount clamp (ie: you slide the scope on from the back and move it forward until the rail stop bottoms out). Many siderails (like the MTK) don't have the slot for the forward railstop, rather they're for mount clamps (like on the Saiga or Cobra) that uses a rail stop at the rear. If you have an SVD siderail then the PSO should fit with no problems but if you have an MTK-style siderail then you'll need to use a Saiga clamp on the PSO scope(identical to the PSO clamp but has the rail stop at the rear, just swap 'em out). The standard 4x24 PSO should work just fine for the 7.62x39, you might be able to get the 6x36 PSO to fit if you remove the rear sight leaf. I'd stick with the PSO scopes for your NM, I get 2" groups at 100yds with my SLR-95 using a PSO scope. BTW, the PSO scopes were designed for the 7.62x54 so the bullet drop ranges built into the elevation turret won't be accurate for the 7.62x39 but here's an approximation I've worked out:
Sight in at 200 with the turret set to '2'
Set the turret to '3.5' to hit at 300
Set the turret to '5' to hit at 400
HTH...

Thanks for the reply. I took pictures of the rifle for the webmaster, as the homepage is asking for pictures of Poly rifles. Anyway, one of the pictures I took was of the scope rail, and I'll post it so you and others can take a look. Thanks for the info on the PSO scopes, too. It sounds like the way to go.
