Made the mistake of lingering too long at my dealers shop and bought his last Swede M96 for $150 out the door. The wood has alot of dings but overall a very nice swede. Carl Gustaffs 1915. Bore condition is VG, stock tag indicates a '3' bore and 6.53 diameter but I think it still has alot of good groups left in it. All matching, threaded muzzle, missing thread protector and cleaning rod. Has a straight bolt. Considering Samco wants $170 plus shipping for a Carl Gustaffs barreled action only I think I did OK. I'll post some pics this weekend after I clean it up a bit.
Welp, there goes the last of my token bonus this year. :)

Right on Redstar,
I really enjoy having one again. Makes me want to slap myself for getting rid of the nicer one I bought for $79 back in the day. I paid $169 for the one I have now and my floor plate is mismatched, along with no cleaning rod.

Thanks guys I'm happy with her.
Shuetz, you may recall I got the one last year that was drilled and tapped for one of the sniper scopes and has the bent bolt. You helped me identify that the holes were not the work of bubba. That one is dated 1908 and does not have a threaded muzzle. I got that one for $129 or so because the dealer thought bubba got ahold of it. It's a Carl Gustaffs too.
I tried it out for one of the matches but the Swiss K31 beat it on accuracy so I went with the K31 in the match. That one didn't have a stock disc so I don't know how it was rated by them. The bore looks pretty good on it though. I just need to practice more with it I think, those 300 meter sights at 100 yards, the thing needs some range room I think. It shot under 3" though.
I can't wait to take my new one out if the snow ever melts.

Congrats Redstar, I've got two myself. On the one with the drilled and tapped holes, do you only have two holes on the rear bridge of the receiver and are they at a diagonal? If so, they are for the match target sights.

cowdog,
When I went through basic training in 78, the guy I was bunked next to lived just down the road from the guy you show pictured in the link. Needless to say I didn't turn my back on him.

No there's several holes. Looks like the set up for an Ajax scope mount.

 Redstar, I forgot about that one. But your post remided me of it. You may have to handload for it to get to MOA accuracy. It could have throat errosion so if you handload you can seat the bullets way out there to reach the rifling. That will do wonders for accuracy.
