Is the mag in this photo one of those 60rd. magazines?

If so, are they reliable? And does the Russian military use them?

They made them for evaluation, but I think they were never adopted.

How are they 60 rounders? Well, we've all heard of single stack AK mags(10 round Maadi's), double stack AK mags(20/30/40's)...this badmutherfucker is a quadruple stack!!!

Or in other words, imagine two regular 30 rounders fused together side-by-side. If you examine the pic carefully, you can clearly see how fat it is.

Ask any girl which is more important, length or girth?

hmmmmm given thestandard 45 rnd 5.45mm magazine's tendency to "monopod" the weapon it is inserted in when fired from the prone position that 60 rounder would appear to have some serious RPK-74 applications to me!
also what is the status on the 5.45mm 75 round drum that was being developed?......is that in production/field use yet?

Same fate as the quad stack...did not work as expected.

Most girls these days wouldn't know the meaning of girth, and ask you to stop using "big" words.

With the quadruple stack having to squeeze down to a double stack feed tower, I can imagine how dirt could cause it to malfunction. But I still want one. Make that ten. We should ask Makarov about these things. (reliabilty, not smuggling)
