I was examining one of my 2 FN 49's last evening and noticed the FN's gas adjustment for the first time after taking the top handguard off. The design of the gasport allows FULL gas in and the adjustment works by either covering or uncovering a bleed off hole to compensate for differently powered loads.
This is in contrast to the Hakim , whose gasport meters the amount of gas entering the system. I realize the FN uses a piston arrangement and the Hakim is direct gas impingement.
Any thoughts on this , y'all :) ?
