Awesome idea for a forum! This is my favorite area of collecting, although I have to say I focus mainly on the early cold war (50's).
Cool!
Yeah mine too ! 1946 to about 1960

I only have one bolt action C&R (a MAS 36)
My entire collection is semi-auto...mostly SKS's
BUT...I do have a wonderful, beautiful,
fantastic & minty fresh...Vz-52/57 which is coveted

seems we think alike. My collection only has 3 C&R bolt actions in it........being a lefty made me drift into semi autos most likely.....all but 3 of my pistols are semi auto too.......but I do like wheel guns

SalBO,
Ever wonder why the really great people are left handed?:D

right handed people were put on this Earth to make it better while lefty's were put here to oversee, supervise and explain to them how to do it correctly.............:D

SalBO,
I had a feeling you might feel that way. I don't think I chose the semi's for my enhanced handedness...I took a liking to them for no reason other than my feeling that they are COOL.
I still collect cool.
Handguns...I have one wheel gun. A Smith 36 given to me by my ex's step dad...mint.
All others ('cept the Contender) are semi.
Other than that MAS 1936 just SKS's and the Vz.
(my dad has a mint Springfield '03 I am dying to shoot)
As far as my utility/meat guns...
I have used "wrong handed" guns for years (had to)...
My old turkey guns: Mossberg 835 & Remington 870 Express both eject across the face...RESULT:
Three years ago a I bought a camo lefty Benelli Super Black Eagle and have never looked back.
Old Deer Gun: Remington 742--30.06...ejects across the face...RESULT:
Bought Pre-'64 Winchester Model 94---30-30 and a
Savage 111 FL---25.06
My .22 Rifle...a Winchester 9422
My Quail/pheasant gun...a Beretta 868 20ga. Over/Under
The Mossberg 835 and Remington 870 are now "loaners" for out-of-town friends/guests who come to hunt. The 742 Remington was sold.

the cool effect is important to me too if the truth be known. I have one lefty bolt left and it is a 257 weatherby mag with a 10 pound bull bbl on it...;) ..... I always had to use right handed guns too because I never could afford a new special order lefty when I was younger........About ten years ago I decided I wanted a Browning Stainless Stalker in .270 so I ordered a lefty model. It felt sooo weird after using right handed models for so long I sold it after the first deer season.........hehe....so I am down to my weatherby as my only lefty again...I have fallen in love with FAL's as they are semi auto and left handedas far as I am concerned......... ;)
