DE 50 AE
Firearm is very expensive, somewhere in the neighborhood of $1200, depending on which version you are looking at. There are two; Mark XIX 50 mag Desert Eagle and Mark VII 50 mag Desert Eagle
The reloading of ammunition is expensive and factory ammunition if you can find it is even more expensive.
Then there is the weight of the 50 AE 72.4 oz how long can you hold a fully loaded 50 AE.

I know this is really late, but as I am new and trying to catch up on the posts, I'll comment on this for future readers. :)
I have the Mark XIX 50AE, along with the MarkVII .41Mag and Mark VII .44Mag. I reload for all three. The 50 is proving to be finicky on its loads. I've only reloaded 5 - 14 round sets for accuracy. Nothing less than 8 inches at 25yds. Now, take this with a grain of salt because I'm not using a rest, but with the 41 I can keep them in 5 inches and in 3 inches with the 44......granted that was my best. :)
As for prices, I already had the reloading equipment. The dies were approx. $25. A box (50) of 300gr HP is about $12 and 100 new Starline cases is $30. A can of powder was about $15 where I was getting it. So, other than the initial outlay for the reloading equipment (which can vary quite a bit), 100 rounds would only cost about $70. To buy 100 rnds in a store would be about $125....last time I looked at prices. :) Sadly, it been over a year since I've been able to reload. :(
As soon as I can get settled down and set up again, I'll be hitting the range to see how accurate that hand-cannon can get. :)
I really enjoy my DEs. They are great to shoot. They do attract a lot of attention at the range though.
Just saw this smiley......:handgun:
The 50AE actually shoots a pretty cool fire ring. I have slo-mo video if anyone is interested. Can't post attachments here. :( Is there somewhere it could be posted?? Its cool. Hey...I'm stuck in ND...there's not much else to do. :):):)
