I just purchased a TT-33 at a local gun shop that had some of the Tokarevs that were made in Poland. Looks great but the trigger is a little heavy. I have not shot it yet...anything I should know about this handgun? I need some input about this firearm.

Congrats On Your Purchase...

'Tok' Triggers Are Usually Heavy,But Will Loosen Up As You Continue to Use The Weapon...The Pistols Are Very Good For Close Quarters Shooting,So Don't Expect To Get 1/2" Groups At 50 Yards With It.They Were Designed To Be A Very Effective Combat Sidearm,They Will Eat Just About Any Ammo You Put In It,Except For the 'Hot' Sub-Machine Gun Ammo That Is Still Out There...NEVER FIRE THAT AMMO THRU A TOKAREV-The Frames Will Break Or Worse!!Does Yours Have The Safety On It???Most Of Us Get Rid Of It Since The Weapon Was Never Designed To Have One In The First Place...Just Keep The Chamber Unloaded And Half-Cock The Hammer And You Won't Have Any Problems.Unfortunately,Once You Buy One And Shoot It...You'll Go Out And Buy More Of Them Or Start Looking Around For The 9mm Conversion Kits,They Are VERY Addictive.I Have A Norinco Model 213 in 9mm And I Use It As My Car Gun All The Time(Here In Florida,It's Legal To Carry In Your Car WITHOUT A Licence).
