Took the P9M HP to the range today. I tested for relieabilty, of both the pistol and the new 17 round mags. The pistol shoots low and to the right at 25 yards but seems to group well. The OLY 124 grn ammo went 1250 fps, the Russian 124 grn went 1220 fps, both shot to the same point. My 122 grn LRN loads with unique went 1250 fps with no leading, and one inch higher at the same range. No jams or FTF in 200 rounds, all three 17 rounders worked great as did the factory 10 round mag. Wayon8 was right, I noticed the hammer bitting the web of my hand after the 2ed mag. Not hard but I could tell, a little work with a file and some spot blue should take care of that. All in All I'm happy :)

Rew,
When I bought a S&W696 a couple of years back I had problems with shooting low and right. Anyway, I discovered that because the grip on the gun was narrower than most of my other guns, I was "milking the grip throwing my shots down and right. The action was consistant enough that my groups were good but always low and right. The problem was corrected with a slip on grip to make the grip fit my hand. Of course I was never happy with the gun and traded it (that's how I got my witness compact) just before S&W did their dirty deal. Anyway I thought I'm mention that so you could check into the low and right problem before doing any alterations on the guns sights.

Very interesting Rew,

Thats funny my FEG PJK-9HP Hi-Power shoots the same.Low and right even after I threw a Hogue finger grooved grip on.I have to Aim at the very top left hand corner of a B27 FBI target at 10 yards to get groups in the center.Very weird.I guess I will try putting the stock plastic grips back on and see what that does.

on my next trip to the range, this week I hope, I am taking a Hammer, drift punch and small file. I have already drifted the rear sight to the right a small amount, it was about 1/32 to the left of center. I like the ammo I am useing which is the Oly 9mm Nato 124 grn load, so I am going to zero at 25m with it. Once zeroed, I will stay with that load. At sportsman guide I can get 1000 rounds for $109 shipped. My hand load is also close enough for pratice.:D Later I may duplacate the load useing a 124 grn JHP.
