Nice example of a Hakim, complete with arabic rack numbers.

Looks great Bill! Neither of mine have rack numbers.:( They really add to the interest of these rifles.

Bill,
Very nice!! Surely you're going to leave the rack numbers intact. I really don't think I'd change anything about it except a good cleaning and then a good shooting... LOL It still possibly has desert sand in it.

Yes, my wife knows about it. We both laugh about your original post concerning this.
Yes, I'm going to leave the rack numbers intact. I chose this gun because it had the rack numbers. My FFL dealer still has another Hakim without these numbers if anyone is interested.

absolutely - cleaning & shooting only. Lots of shooting :D

Just couldn't pass it up. Got a good deal ;)

Of my rather sizable collection of Hakims , I have some that still retain their rack numbers and I even have one that still has the original brass disc in the stock !
The rack numbers mean little to me as a collector. I focus on functionality : good headspace , no seized gasport valve , mirror bore , etc. I have 2 that i've checked so far that won't close on the 20 degree go ! This has caused me a bit of concern but I will see if the 2 of them will chamber live ammo with out too much difficulty the next time I go to the range.
For those interested in a quality semiauto MBR , you can't beat a Hakim !!!
No , this is not a sales pitch because I'm not selling ANY of my C&R collection !
I had enough of a sick feeling when I sold some bayos , which by the way , I'm replacing and THEN some;)
I simply CAN'T part with any of my beloved collection , no matter what the condition:D I am kicking myself in the ass as to why i bought any French guns in the first place , but I then remind myself they were never fired and only dropped once:D
To those that are curious as to how many Hakims I own , I''ll come clean on this matter : 21 !! Yes , you read right : 21:)
I don't feel too guilty about this because they're not making any more and they'll only go up in value !!!
Look for a group photo of my hakim collection in the not too distant future !
Last year started with a case of Garanditis which turned into Hakimitis:D
Happy St. Patrick's Day to y'all ! Hope you didn't partake in too much merriment:)

Nice looking rifle you got there... I am sure the wife will kill you if she ever finds out you put an uncleaned gun on the bed ;)
