Silver Bear Lock Yours Up?

Ran a box of Wolf ball through my 'new' '54, then went down to the last round in the mag with Silver Bear HP and it locked up tight. I mean...it was locked...nothing would move...it required a full strip down (my first time with this unfamiliar gun and with a loaded chamber to boot!!). Is this common with HP? or an anomoly? Is it always the last round in a mag? I don't want a repeat so I'll await some wisdom from the gallery. tx...mike

The only box of Silver Bear I have shot was 9mm hp. My S&W 659 would rip a chunk out of the rim of about every 3 round as the case would be stuck in the chamber. Had to use a AK cleaning rod to get the cases out of the chamber. Suffered through 2/3 of a box before giving up. Winchester USA white box fmj,Corbon hp, and my reloads fired just fine in the same pistol that day.
