can someone tell me how to put this on a saiga? i've got the little dust cover in the middle of the spring

edit: got it, managed to pull off half the spring, then the piece of sheet metal and installed perfectly

On my Saiga-12 I have a 2 piece spring, each section is connected to the coupling that holds the shield. I pulled the rear spring section off, slid on the buffer then put the spring back on. I have heard of guys actually streaching the buffer over the spring base...I don't recommend that but if that's what you have to do I would suggest warming up the buffer first to make it more flexible. You won't be able to do that with the black buffers...too hard.

I am looking for photos to show how the buffer is oriented in installation. Which side goes forward? Your posting has some icons that indicate you intended to post photos but they are not there???

On Saigas with the space plate it doesn't matter which side is forward, on all other AKs the ramped side goes towards the rear which will mate up with the incline on the spring base.
