Well, here I go again. I sold my Williams Arms/Imbel FAL and SAR1 (sniff) cause my agency told me that I have to use a .223 at work (even though I outshot everyone else with the SAR1), and I bought a DPMS LE Dissipator A3 flat top upper with heavy barrel (1/9 rifling), and rear sight assembly, collapsable stock, and A2 flashhider. My smithy put an o-ring under the extractor spring (says it will give it 4X the strength), a Buffer Tech recoil buffer (not sure if I really needed it), financed me an EO Tech 511Holosight :rockin: , and put a Tac Star light/clamp/pressure switch on it. Mounting the light was a pain, and it is close to the barrel, but it hasn't been a problem. I secured the switch with a small amount of bicycle tire tubing, need to put some on the coil wire too. The rifle is heaver than my fellow officers' Bushmasters, and some are criticizing that I won't need the longer sight radius and that the front sight being forward will be a problem. Ya know what? Horseshit...I wear glasses, so any improvement on the sights are a plus (even though I have a CQB scope) when I need them, and having a full length gas tube should be more efficient. Also, I bought one Mag Cinch from Buffer Tech...a real pain in the ass, but will work for now. I have to use a domestic 55 gr SP, can only find PMC. Anyone have any good sources? Anyone have a Dissipator?
