Any recommendations for an IWB holster for a Glock 23? I prefer one that sits low on the waistband so the grip is all that lies above it. Also must have a covered trigger guard. Don't care if its a clip on, but if it is it damn well better stay where I put it. I prefer belt loops.

While I'm on the subject of IWBs anyone know of a spring retention holster for an SP101? No spur on the hammer so it has to be a reliable spring retention mechanism. Same general characteristics as outlined above.

TIA.

The best holster I have ever had for a carry firearm was made by a small company local, made it just the way I wanted it. Take a look in your Yellow pages and find a leather shop who deals with holsters for firearms.

Appreciate the reply SFC_E7. I don't know if there is anyone in the area that provides the service you mention, but one of the reasons I picked the G23 was because there should be a plethora of holsters out there for it. I was hoping someone here might know of a commercial version that fits the bill.

Due to my girth, I need the firearm to ride low inside the waistband in order for it not to print. I've done a lot of looking on the web and most of the IWBs ride very high on the belt, except for a few of the Kydex holsters. Personally, I can't imagine Kydex being very comfortable to wear inside the waistband.

In the mean time, I'll look around for a saddle/leather shop and see what I can find.
