Will a SA-85 sporter gas block, or any others, fit on a SLR-95 barrel? I prefer that swept back look compared to the Bulgarian gas block.

Does Arsenal USA offer assembly services with my Bulgarian parts? If not who would you recommend? Best parkerizing?

Do slant muzzle brakes effect accuracy?

Why is the trigger pull on USA made fire-control groups so damn light? I want more of a combat trigger feel instead of benchrest trigger.

Who makes the strongest bolt & carrier?

Thanks!

Any gas block assembly from a AKM barrel can be used. The best parkerizing? ...... it depends on what you are doing. I use manganese phosphate parkerizing for the most part, yet I do have (and use when needed or requested) zinc phosphate (offers better rust protection.)

You need to check barrel diameter before ordering a gas block. The 45 degree block exists in several diameters, all looking pretty much alike.

The early SLR-95s and the SA-93s used gas block approx. .631" id. The later ones used blocks approx. .592" id. The larger size is the AK-47 and some AKM size. The smaller one is AKM and AK-74 size.

Also, there are two different patterns of the 45 degre block. The AK-47 pattern has the loop for the sling, the AKM pattern does not (on the AKM the loop is on the lower handguard flange).

There are also larger sizes, as used on the RPK and the Chinese NMH-91.

We have the Bulgarian AK-47 parttern in stock, id .631", our part # B-625, $22.99, and a Romainian AKM pattern in id .592", part # R-425, with bayonet lug, $22.99.
