Looks like fun!! My 1919 hasn't been out in a while either. Just today, got three new cloth belts and a scope mount from International Military Antiques, inc. I went to load one of the new belts. Man that cloth is tight!! Any suggestions? BTW, that is a great set up you have, what kind of tri pod is that? Glad that you had fun! I tell you there is a certain shock value when you bring that (the 1919) cat out of the bag at the range!!

It was about 50 degrees or so...Just right with a light jacket! That ice is probably gone by now.
LOL Elduce I hear ya on tight, tighter than any virgins I know!!....I used a 100rnd cloth belt also..it was a bitch to load since it was new.Sore fingers and calluses were the order of the day when I loaded it!!!!
Couldn't give much in the way of pointers.Twist the round as you insert it is the best I can do! I've heard if you soak it in ATF fluid then ring it out it's easier???no first hand on that though.
Got a link for that scope mount??I'd like to get one I could mount say a red dot type like a collimater, that'd be real nice as well as a regular scope...
The pod is a modified MAG58.Northridge Intl. had them some time ago refinished for $375.It's real nice except I need to make some kind of bracket for an ammo can that can be used when the gun is turned either way to the limits...
lpspinner,Sniper1088 it's a semi auto I built in my garage from a full auto kit with help from www.1919A4.com gents. I wish it was full auto. My state only allows C+R full auto which means probably in the neighborhood of 20K for a C+R 1919A4.....
Thanks Bowhunt,Zouave!

I got the scope mount from International Military Antiques at www.ima-usa.com the left side. THere are three holes in a upsidedown triangle. The scope rail takes standard one inch rings. Now I need to decide what kind of scope to mount on it! Good luck.

Thanks Elduce.Just ordered one as well as some other stuff...I t looks like the scope mounts sideways rather than verticle???

Correct, it mounts sideways. Mine is made out of aluminum. And was painted black. (Poorly) And flaked badly. But I plan on stripping it anyway and repainting it to look more like the rifle. But I tell you, if you have ordered some of their cloth belts, MAN are those suckers TIGHT!! I painstakingly tried to load 100 rounds today. Got them half the way in to sit overnight so that the cloth will hopefully relax a little!
I am kinda excited about mounting a scope, to make it a bit more accurate. But with iron sites the rifle is still pretty "on target"!
