Talked to SOG today. I was told they have SLR96's and are filling back orders from the last of march beginning of April. When I asked about filling current orders, they said they did not know when. The guns are trickling in they said. Sounds strange to me.Is this normal procedure? They sure don't mention this in their adds.
Why not fill the back orders that they had first?
That's only good business sense to get the first orders recieved out first.
If they filled newer orders first what do they tell older order customers when they don't have enough to fill their order which was first(compared to new orders)?

ED4,that is not what I meant.I realize they must fill back orders first(first come first served). What I meant was that it seems wrong to advertise they have them and they really don't. I've seen other companies say they will take back orders, but admitt they don't have the guns yet even in their adds. Usually they will give a reasonable time frame for delivery also.

Read my post from 8/7. I'm begining to wonder if I should just have my money order sent back, and have one built by Jimmy. I could get it with out that crappy looking butt hole stock too!!

Jimmy, what would one cost(SLR96 OR EQUIVALENT)? Would it be an all new receiver and barrel, and of the same quality? If so, I'm intersted.First, I've got to get my Galil put together.

I called SOG today. They made it sound as if no rifles were in yet, and they (still) didn't have a clue when they would arrive.
Jimmy, if I purchased a milled Bulg receiver and kit from K-var (the one with american wood) what other american parts would be reguired to be "legal" and what would be the cost for assembling this? -or- Do you stock rifles of this description, and what do they cost?TIA
