Hi.I handled a Bulgarian AK in 5.56 at a local gunshop today, and the nice experience left me with a question concerning the rifle, especially the receiver. The odd thing about the receiver was that, even though it was a semi-auto rifle, the receiver had three positions milled on it, but instead of going to the bottom, the selector could only be set to the second groove from top (which is usually fa setting, at least in the Finnish AK variants). It even had something that lookes like (to my untrained eye) like an auto sear, or at least it was something that I donīt have in my semi-auto Sako (it was a banana shape piece of metal in a groove on the right wall of the receiver). So my question is, is it possible that this rifle is a f/a version converted to semi-auto, without removing the f/a parts.

BTW I live in Finland, so I am not conserned about legal issues here.

sounds like the auto sear!
