As usual, no one home at Jimmy's. BTW, recon, i saw your post inviting Mike to come to PA. I live in NE PA. Would be nice to have a good smith somewhere between here and Hgb. Only good guy up here is Robert W. Hart and son, but he is really tied down building benchrest and custom rifles. Kon 64

Jimmy, I'm glad to hear that the alien abduction rumor was false. So what's the latest on the SSR85?

We are assembling SSR-85s as I write this. We are doing two versions now, both using the FEG receiver. The SSR-85B will be out first, and it uses the Polish AKM parts set. These rifles are mostly unfired, so you are really getting a new rifle. The other version is the SSR-85C, which uses the Polish AK-47 set. These have been fired, but they are very nearly new. The other version, the SSR-85 with the all-FEG parts doesn't look is going to make it.
All will use the Hungarian wood stocks, when we finally get them. They still haven't made it to New York, or at least if they have, we haven't been notified.
I would guess the first shipments are a couple of weeks away. I am working on the final version of the owner's manual, and we have the nifty new sling material in house. It's going to be a nice rifle.
We have placed an ad for the Nov. 1st Shotgun News issue, pricing them at $469.99.
We also are shipping the SSR-85BA, the barreled action, and the FEG recevier, model SK-100 in the receiver-only version. The barreled action is $289.99, the receiver is $154.99.
