Austrian Army STG Adjustable Leather Sling $5.00

I ordered one of these from DSA the other day.

Much to my surprise they sent me two, with appologies that they are in "fair condition" :) For $5 how could you go wrong?

I also ordered a Frame Lock Fastening Screw (part 081) for $2.00. Its really tiny and my digital camera couldn't handle a close up picture of it.

Overall I am very pleased with this purchase!

I ordered a bunch of parts for it from TAPCO and they should arrive any day now. I also ordered a Coonan Type I receiver, but I suspect it may be a while before it arrives. :rolleyes:

That buttstock looks pretty good. Seems to have some figure in it. Should clean up well with some stripping, steaming, sanding and then Tung oiling.

I got one of those slings too and I plan on some more in my next order. You cant beat it for an all leather sling. I got 4 from FAC too and they arent half as nice even though they are brand new

Nothing wrong with beat up slings, adds character IMO.

I like the carry handle. The one on my G1 needs replacing as it's pretty scarred.

one of mine even has the little buckle sewed on the wrong side. Either that or the others are wrong.......hehe.......I didnt fool with calling them on it since it was just 5 bucks but it isnt usable without taking it to a shoe shoe to be resewn.........:(

I ordered a new carry handle on a 250 dollar order to gunthings and they sent me a beat up used one and stil charged me 18 bucks for it. I sent them an email and they never responded... :mad:

Tapco and DSA will get most of my business from now on.......

When it comes to FAL parts I get my new parts from DSA and my used parts from TAPCO. Gunthings I use when I cant find it anywhere else.

I decided to adopt the same attitude PBR after they didnt even have the wherewithall to answer a customers email especially concerning a 290 dollar order (I just checked my reciept).......DSA and Tapco will get all my business from now on. I am working on a small Tapco order for Tony in the morning. It's only a little over a hundred dollars but Tony will treat it like a 500 dollar order. I hope one of the two will get in some Izzy furniture sets in real quick though.....I need some asap with all the hardware and hate having to buy from several people to get a complete set............
