Saw a used Arsenal SLR-95 in a gun store over my lunch break. They had it tagged at $450. Is that a good/reasonable price?

yes - I'd say that's a real good price these days -- I guess depending on condition -- but that is a real good price -- hmmm -- I'd check it out -- if it looks good -- get it ! --

SLR-95 is a highcap rifle.

SLR-101 is a single stack rifle.

$450 for a used SLR95?

That would be a BUY!

Tomacs deal ain't too shabby either.

A mounted scope base and some tritium sites adds an easy hundred to the base value of his rifle.

I'd try and get him to give me a couple of mags though.

Mike

Well, thanks for the responses, guys. At the moment, I can't seem to scrape up an extra $450. I've just ordered a SAR 2, and another AK purchase so soon might put the wife unit into an ugly sulk for weeks. If any of y'all are in Houston, TX, the weapon was at Collector's Firearms, at Richmond and Fondren. Collector's is not usually a place I'd go looking for a good deal, but there it is.

Uncle Mike,

How do you like the deal you got at Collector's Firearms? I've been there a few times, and I know what you mean when you say that isn't the place you'd expect to find a deal. Geeezz, is it me or do they charge some high premium price on EVERYTHING in there? Well, not that I've priced everything in there for that matter. I remember they wanted over $450 for a Mossberg 590 that I liked (it had speedfeed stock and ghost ring sights, but that still seemed high for a (insert: badass) 12ga pump)

Anyway, hope you like the Sar-2. Have you ever checked out Pace's Guns. They are on Richmond as well and they have always been pleasant to deal with. Those folks were so nice that I bought my SLR-95MB from them. http://www.ak-47.net/akcgi/smile.gif
