Hey have you guys heard . . . . ATF is going around picking up all the PPSH41 Kit's sold by InterOrdnance in North Carolina.
Two buddies of mine got hit this week I just found out today. One still had the kit and handed the whole thing over, the other had sold it off and doesn't know the identity of who he sold it to! He's worried they don't believe him, I am too!

What the hell is all of this about? Have you heard of a reason why? :(

Only one reason ATF collects a former full auto weapon kit, they think it is too easily rebuilt into a full auto. Coles had all his Maxim kits taken and all his UZI kits taken. The UZI's had been checked and certified as ok to sell two times and yet they came back and said give em all to us! Fu#@ng bastards that they are!

Well, a PPsH kit would not be that hard to put back together if you have any good welding experience. ;) But that doesn't excuse the fact that Interordnance have made these into semi-auto carbines and anyone with one of these kits could claim to be doing the same thing with them. This just pisses me off!!

They shouldn't have such power it aint right at all.

I guess the two agents they put on actually catching criminals don't even have enough work, now they have to manufacture work for the rest of em,it must be getting harder for them to set people up now that most of us know their game and methods.....

I'm usually not one of the more paranoid types, but I'm starting to wonder if "they" aren't getting us used to these types of confiscations as being normal and acceptable. First start out with the parts kits of "evil" machine guns and move on from there. Start with kits with relatively small distribution - enough that word gets around, but not enough such that most folks don't have a personal stake in it.
Even if they say they can be too easily made back into a functioning machine gun, then shouldn't they only be collecting any receiver sections? That should be the only potentially restricted part. If they are saying the parts kit, as a whole, can be assembled too easily, then I'd expect lots more of these to follow. Many of these tube guns were designed with the express purpose of being able to be assembled in a less than full fledged factory.
When do you figure they'll come after the sten kits? I figure they only haven't done it already because there's so many of them out there. It would effect so many people that there would probably be much more of a public reaction than with the relatively low distribution of the stuff they've been rounding up in the past. It definitely seems to be escalating though - the maxim and UZI kits as mentioned, the MKS rewelds, and then their new receivers, the yunkers BB guns, possibly the M-76's recently sold, now these...

you're not being paranoid at all. these people aren't stupid, they can't stage waco style raids every week but they can sure as shit mickey mouse us to death and escalate it bit by bit. who's gonna notice or care about a buncha yahoos and rednecks being harassed and/or arrested???
i don't know what the ruckus is about, the kit was a huge piece of shit anyway! nasty worn parts, mag didn't fit the well, rusty, etc. typical interordnance garbage...just another reason to avoid these assholes like the plague! imho...glad i got rid of mine...:p

I don't have one of these kits, but if the ATF ever comes knocking on my door to confiscate ANYTHING, they'd better bring along a hefty wallet or check book. Bite these ones ATF lurkers!:gofuckoff :fy:

Do they pay you what you paid, or just come take them?

Wonder if they'll take it away if you already made it into a display piece with a dummy receiver?

If you have the kits, get the rcvr peices off and have them ready to hand over.
If they ask for the rest of the kit tell them to get a warrant for the parts (never happen, legal parts)
The usual low down tricks these thugs pull to "keep busy". You know, when there is no work you create it.

Sounds like it might be time to strip the sawed up receiver pieces off those Sten kits too. Just in case they become the next target of opportunity.
