I just received my Saiga conversion AK and can't wait to get to the range. One thing: I can see right now that the Warsaw Pact "shortie" stock ain't gonna cut it. Can anyone recommend a good replacement in black that will fit the Saiga Izmash rifle and give me the additional length I need? Thanks and happy shooting.

Like you, I have one of the Saiga rifles, and needed a longer buttstock. I ordered one of the K-Var U.S. made stocks, and it is wonderful. About 1.25-1.5" longer in the buttstock. Really great fit, and much better quality than the stock that originally came on the rifle.

Did you buy the one for "Hungarian receivers"? I see the extended stocks but it is not clear which will fit the Saiga. I assume you had to buy the whole set; I am happy with my foregrip.

the hungarian one has a slightly differant shaped front lower handguard to accomadate the hungarian handguard reatiner. Any of the K-var stock sets for a stamped reciever with the NATO length should fit. and give you the added length you want.
