Does anybody have any experience with the Olympic Arms 16" plinker model? I am thinking of getting this rifle and I want to know if it's any good.

Sincerely,

Jonathan

our young ladies on the forums has one. If we could ever get her to clean it, I think it would work even better than it already does. (Lesley is going to throw things at me the next time we see each other:p ) To tell the truth, I was quite impressed with the little rifle.

Got my 15-year-old daughter one for Christmas. She loves it, very low recoil. She followed Olys break-in to the letter, then followed that with just over 100 rounds on target. Very accurate, no problems at all and one kid who got a lot of attention at the range. She couldn't understand why everyone was watching her. I had to remind her that not many guys are used to seeing a "little girl" pull an AR out of a rifle case. She said she had a good time in school. When her friends asked around what everyone got for Christmas, she thought it was cute that when they got to her, she didn't answer with the standard jewelery and clothes! I wish I could have seen her friends faces when she said that her dad got her an AR-15 for Christmas! :D

I give my thumbs up on the Plinker.

Thank you both for your replies. One more thing, since I live in MA, I was wondering if Olympic Arms sells their rifles to MA residents. The laws here in MA are completely out of sync with most of the U.S. Are Olympic Arms rifles legal to sell and buy in MA?

Sincerely,

I just checked your state laws. You would need the Firearms ID card (FID) and it would be ok. Olympic AR-15s are listed on what I believe is your approved high capacity list.

www.state.ma.us/chsb/pdfs/frb/frb_large_cap_roster.pdf

One reason that I like Indiana is their list of banned guns is blank. If you can legally own a firearm, here in Indy, you can have what ever your heart desires. Just pay the tax for the NFA stuff and it's yours!

Good part;
Same in Oregon as far as owning any gun, except we have no state sales tax.

Bad part;
We also have the worst school system and highest unemployment rate in the country. We also can't pump our own gas.

This state kinda sucks!

Why didn't she want an SAR ?:confused:

BrittB, if you are talking about my daughter, she already has an SAR-2 and SAR-3! :D
