Got the DSA GI kit today

They sent new handguards and pistol grip and carry handle grip.

Soaked in cosmoline.
Hand guards that were on it are beat to hell.
Wood looks fairly decent.
Muzzle break,bolt-carrier and all is there covered in cosmo.
Rifleing looks good and barrel inside is shiney.
Bipod is attached and a tad rough.
Some rust were the bipod attaches and under the carry strap swivel.
Barrel from handguards out the finish is thin.
Under handguards the gas tube and barrel look good lots of finish left.
Gas adjustment nut is easy to turn.
Front gas plug is tight have to look closer at it.

All in all happy with this knowing how they were taken care of.

Had to do again I would try and get another Imbel but if unable to would order another G1 from DSA. Shipping was quick. Had this one sent COD since no credit card and wanted to be sure to get one.

Let you all no more once I get her cleaned up.

Congrats, but if I had a chance to influence you before the buy I would have told you to get the refinished kit. Really it's a deal cause if you put it together carefully it will look almost like a new rifle with the new park finish on all the parts. Price difference between the plain as is kit and the reparked kits is tought to beat when shopping for someone to repark the kit for you afterward. Certainly it will be the way I'd go in the future if I wanted another G1 type.

I agree on the refinishing .......I wouldnt do it for the price they are charging........

Yeah I hope the last week of this month they still have some and if so I am getting one that has the finish redone.
